We were invited to accompany Lesley and Amanda Schiff from the Talisman Gallery for teatime treats at Cocomaya. Located near Marble Arch on Connaught Street, Cocomaya is just hard enough to find to be a hidden gem… and what a gem it is. Mountains of sweet and savory treats, each delicious morsel beautifully crafted and homemade and washed down with cups of Earl Grey tea.
We were quick to forget the soggy London afternoon outside and lingered there for hours over good conversation in the cosy comfort provided by our hosts and the glamorous surroundings.

We’re back to work in London after an amazing and restful Christmas holiday in Qatar. During two weeks in the sun we managed to cram in lots of hours by the pool, sand boarding, quad biking, dune bashing with a 4WD, lots of alcohol (more difficult than you would have thought since it’s mostly illegal there!), Museum of Islamic Art, seeing Nadal and Federer playing in the Qatar Open (the Sheikh of Qatar was also there with two of his wives, we didn’t see any of his 24 (!) children though). Most importantly we got to spend lots of time with Aly’s lovely parents who live there.
